Hello I'm Laura, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, Clinical Supervisor, daughter, wife and mum of three energetic boys. With a Bachelor of Social Work and a Masters of Applied Social Science Counselling, I have worked across a diverse range of settings providing counselling support to children, adults and families for over fifteen years.
I have spent over fifteen years treating individuals and families with a vast range of presentations. These include, complex trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, Attention Deficit Disorder, Suicidality, Non-Suicidal Self Injury, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and much more. As a mother, I am really passionate about supporting women throughout the perinatal period. Motherhood starts in preconception and is forever more (even if your baby has grown angel wings and left this earth). I support women through all stages of motherhood, from those who are thinking about starting a family, to those who want some parental guidance and support for their children or teenagers.
As you share your story throughout your sessions, I'll offer you a range of tools and strategies to help you regain control over your mental health/wellbeing. Whether we tackle your issues with CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) or IEP (Intention-Based Energy Process) just to name a few, your treatment plan will be customised to meet your individual needs.
