Counselling + Mental Health Services

Here at The Village Collective we are committed to providing families with access to skilled and highly trained mental health professionals. Our counselling and perinatal mental health team members work with you to strengthen relationships and facilitate joyful and confident parenting during the perinatal period. You don’t have to do this alone.

  • Hello I'm Laura, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, Clinical Supervisor, daughter, wife and mum of three energetic boys. With a Bachelor of Social Work and a Masters of Applied Social Science Counselling, I have worked across a diverse range of settings providing counselling support to children, adults and families for over fifteen years.

I have spent over fifteen years treating individuals and families with a vast range of presentations. These include, complex trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, Attention Deficit Disorder, Suicidality, Non-Suicidal Self Injury, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and much more. As a mother, I am really passionate about supporting women throughout the perinatal period. Motherhood starts in preconception and is forever more (even if your baby has grown angel wings and left this earth). I support women through all stages of motherhood, from those who are thinking about starting a family, to those who want some parental guidance and support for their children or teenagers.

As you share your story throughout your sessions, I'll offer you a range of tools and strategies to help you regain control over your mental health/wellbeing. Whether we tackle your issues with CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) or IEP (Intention-Based Energy Process) just to name a few, your treatment plan will be customised to meet your individual needs.
