The Village Mothers’ Groups

Welcome to our 6-week program starting

Biology never intended for us to mother our babies on our own. Mothers deserve to be surrounded by others walking the path of early motherhood - sharing, connecting and supporting.

We're excited to announce The Village Mothers’ Group; a six week course designed just for you and your bub (babies aged 6 weeks to 9 months).

Each week, we'll be joined by a different Collective Practitioner to share invaluable knowledge, provide support, and help you thrive as a mum. This will then be followed by time to connect, for babies to play and for you to have tea and share the ups and downs of motherhood.

  • Week 1 - Understanding your baby's brain and biology with Midwife and IBCLC Harriet

    In our welcoming session to Mothers Group we explore how we can lean into our baby's biological foundations. When we understand our babies brain it can help the way we manage challening moments in our postpartum.

    In this session we cover your baby's instinctual behaviours, primitive relfexes and supporting development in a holistic way. We touch on infant sleep and the biological sleep regulators so that you have the knowledge to support healthy sleep hygiene.

  • Week 2 - Conscious parenting: Journeying into the heart to meet your child lovingly with Osteopath Katia

    In this we will explore unconsious beliefs about parenting, tools to create more awareness while parenting and how to embrace the present moment as a true gift to create a loving bond with yourself and your child.

    This session will also finish up with a short sound healing with you and your little ones are going to simply love.

  • Week 3 - Postpartum essentials: Recovering with herbs and nutrients with Maddie the Naturopath

    in this session we will explore essential herbs and nutrients to support postpartum recovery. Learn how to naturally nourish your body, promote healing and boost energy during this transformative time.

    We’ll cover gentle yet effective herbal remedies, key minerals and pracitcal self-care tips designed specifically to enhance your recovery, balance hormones and support overall wellbeing .

  • Week 4 - Postpartum Foundations when returning to exercise with Physio Maddie and Mum Safe Trainer Lisa

    When returning to exercise there are some key components that we need to be looking at. Although the doctor gives us the all clear at the 6 week check up there are so many factors to consider before jumping back into exercise.

    In this session we'll go over the importance of taking things slow and setting up a strong foundation first allowing you to build strength from the inside out.

  • Week 5 - The Bubble and Beyond: Navigating the ups and downs of parenthood with Laura Mental Health Social Worker

    Parenthood…..nothing can quite prepare you for it! The highest of highs and at times the lowest of lows. Discover what’s normal and what’s not. Knowledge is key in helping you recognise when things may be veering of course and what you can do to get it back on track.

  • Week 6 - Your postpartum motherblessing with Doula Kathryn and Somatic Therapist Intan

    This session is all about YOU! We will start this beautiful mother blessing with a cocoa ceremony, followed by a sharing circle, belly massage and finishing up with mini closing of the bones.

    You are going to feel so beautiful and restored from the inside out after this special session honouring your transformative journey into motherhood.

    • Capped group numbers to ensure an intimate group allowing more opportunity for meaningful connections

    • Clean and private space exclusive fo rour groups use with enough room for babies to free to move around and explore our Montessori inspired toys.

    • Facilitated by postpartum professionals - you will benefit from continuity of care with a Registered Child and Family Health Midwife, IBCLC Lactation Consultant & Holistic Sleep Consultant. 

    • Each week one of The Village Collective Practioners will be speaking and sharing their knowledge with the group

    • Additional resources will be sent via email after each session.

    • Baby play and mums catch up including complimentary snacks, water, coffee, or tea of your choice for the last 1/2 hour of every session.

  • Groups are facilitated by Harriet - The Village Collective’s resident IBCLC Lactation Consultant, Registered Child and Family Health Midwife and Holistic Sleep Consutant.

    Groups are also facilitated and supported by Kathryn - The Village Collective’s resident Doula and postpartum professional.

  • 6 sessions spaced across 6 weeks

    Each group is allocated a 2 hour time slot with 30-45 minutes of structured discussion led by a different Village Pracitioner.

    After our topics of conversation we have time to play, sip tea/coffee (provided) and work on th connections we hope for in Motherhood.

  • We currently are holding one group for

    • 6 weeks to 9 months

    Depending on demand, we hope to offer age groups for 0-3 months and 6-9 months along with both First Time Mother Groups and Second Time+ Mothers Groups in the near future.

  • We have capacity for ideally 8 Mothers with their babies in our Mothers Groups, with the absolute maximum being 10.

  • The Village Membership Members:

    $190 for the 6 week course

    Casual or weekly payments are currently not offered for Mothers Groups.
