I was drawn to the concept of recreating the village our nervous system yearns for with a holistic view of support. It speaks volumes to the future of safe places that empower the family system to nurture the many sides of health and wellbeing. As a solo private practice owner for the past few years I yearned for a community of practitioners to connect to and feel like I found this space just in the right time!

"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change" by Carl Rogers, this is a deep outlook I have as a therapist who seeks to empower all my clients deep into a journey of self acceptance to remember the innate power within to heal and to grow. Change is a deeply personal process and no "mindset hacks" can beat self acceptance.

My mission is to bring the soul back to psychology and assure we take a holistic approach when looking at mental health, this also includes looking at the world of the body aka Somatic Psychotherapy which I include in my work with clients. At the core, what I love most is witnessing resilience and post-traumatic growth. I believe every person, no matter their story, carries the capacity to transform their pain into something meaningful. And my role as a therapist is to walk alongside until you can see and feel that truth.

You will not return to the same identity before motherhood and that is okay. The term "Matrescence" is vital to understand as you enter motherhood, you not only have transitioned a child into this world through your womb but you have also undergone a transformation of your identity. Matrescence is a holistic developmental process that accounts for your profound physical, emotional, hormonal, psychological, social, and existential changes and transformations that occur as you transitions into motherhood, reconnecting with the wisdom of your body is essential as you connect with this new identity you are forming.

At the age of 16 I left a physically abusive household and became homeless for a year, in that time I witnessed the faults of the current mental health system and something ignited in me to be the change in the system I needed, doing my own deep healing allowed me to practice as a therapist with integrity . After working in the Justice Department it was clear that I did not wish to work within the allopathic model and transitioned my 5 years of psychology studies into psychotherapy. The holistic deep approach psychotherapy takes sits well with my values and allows me to practice with integrity whilst having a voice in the world of therapy for a new paradigm approach to healing.
