Postpartum Embodiment Workshop

  • The Village Collective Shop 70 - 72, 189 Ocean View Road Ettalong Beach, NSW Australia (map)

Think yoga meets dance & intuitive play.

Birthing a baby is a complete rebirth for Mama. Rediscovering your body postpartum can bring up a spectrum of emotions as you navigate exercise, rest, intimacy, and even your wardrobe.

Grateful for what created this delicious tiny human, but maybe less confident in your temple.

This class is here to empower, and create space for you to feel sensual, fit and powerful. All while nurturing your baby.

In this beautiful nourishing class I will weave together:

  • a cacao ceremony

  • simple yoga flows

  • dance and intuitive play

  • we’ll gather and shake the postpartum body blues away

  • finishing in a village circle, we’ll integrate, share and cultivate self love to inspire our postpartum embodiment.

* Please note all movement is optional. Your practice may look like a few seated cat and cows while holding your baby, or you may want to use the opportunity to roll around to the music and release stress built up in your hips. We are here to support you in making you feel like ‘you’ again.

What to wear: Anything that you feel comfortable to move and play in, while adding your feminine touch.

What to bring: a burp cloth for baby and a water bottle for you. Everything else will be provided.

Feel free to reach out to Louisa @SeasonsOfShakti or The Village Collective with any questions.

Limited spaces available to keep this intimate and comfortable.

About Louisa your host

Louisa has a deeply rooted understanding of the transformative and healing power of movement.

From an early age in London theatre, she explored visual and performing arts which led her to a BA (Hons) Performance degree, specialising in Physical Theatre.

She expanded her degree of embodied transformation and therapeutic play through numerous training's in meditation, Yoga, Tantra, Ayurveda, and contact improvisation.

After studying in India, Louisa spent 8 months living and learning in a Krishna ashram, devoting herself to Bhakti Yoga, which is a philosophy that is integrated into her life and within the services she provides.

Her Motherhood musings have highlighted the absolute need for these practices.

Postpartum embodiment has been a journey, and a raw reminder in how to lovingly show up for herself while showing up for her community, and son, Winter Leo.
