Carve Your Path: Boys Wellbeing Workshop (Ages 9–12)
Expression of Interest
A hands-on workshop supporting boys to build confidence, emotional awareness, and respectful relationships—through carving, connection, and guided conversation.
At the moment, our plan is to have this series held in the school holidays (4 sessions within 2 weeks) but for homeschooling families this could be throughout the school term too.
No prior experience needed. All materials provided.
About the Program
Carve Your Path is a small-group developmental wellbeing program designed for boys aged 9–12.
Blending traditional spoon carving with gentle, guided conversations, this program creates a safe and supportive space for boys to explore:
Confidence and identity
Emotional regulation
Respect, boundaries, and consent
Healthy expressions of masculinity
At this age, boys are navigating big changes—socially, emotionally, and developmentally. This workshop offers a grounded, practical way to support them through this stage, with positive male mentoring and hands-on learning.
A Program in Development
This workshop is currently being offered as a pilot 4-session program.
We’re intentionally keeping this first round small and responsive, which means:
The structure may be refined based on group needs
Future offerings may expand (including programs for older boys and men)
Your feedback will help shape how this evolves within The Village
Families who register interest will be the first to receive confirmed dates, updates, and enrolment details.
What Makes This Workshop Different
This isn’t a sit-and-listen program.
Each session uses woodworking as the anchor, allowing conversations to unfold naturally — side by side, without pressure.
Boys will:
Learn safe, supervised carving skills
Build patience, focus, and problem-solving abilities
Develop emotional awareness in a non-confrontational way
Practise respectful communication and decision-making
Take home a handcrafted wooden spoon as a symbol of their growth
