The Feeding Thread is a gentle, intimate gathering to honour the many ways we nourish our babies – and the invisible threads that tie us together in early parenthood.
Held during World Breastfeeding Month (August), this special afternoon has been lovingly created by The Village Collective, The Breast Help, and Sophie Day Photography as a space for connection, reflection and celebration.
Whether you’re breastfeeding, bottle feeding, expressing, mixed feeding, or using donor milk – your story matters. This is a place to be seen, supported and celebrated, just as you are.
What to Expect:
A warm, welcoming space to connect with other local parents.
Let’s sit together, have a casual conversation and there is time set aside to have your portrait taken with Sophie.
A chance to share your feeding story, if you feel comfortable
A beautiful moment to be photographed by Sophie Day Photography – while feeding, cuddling, or simply holding your baby
A keepsake set of digital portraits, delivered straight to your inbox
This gathering is about more than just a photo.
It’s about pausing to honour the emotional and physical labour of feeding your child – and capturing the quiet beauty of this season.
