Preparing for your Homebirth

A practical & interactive homebirth preparation workshop

Planning to welcome your baby at home? Let's make sure you feel informed, confident and practically prepared.

There's something incredibly special about preparing to birth your baby in your own home. The familiarity of your surroundings, the freedom to create your own birth space and the opportunity to welcome your baby in an environment that feels completely yours.

But choosing to have a homebirth is just the beginning. Taking the time to really prepare for your homebirth can make such a difference to how confident, informed and supported you feel when labour begins.

Unlike birthing in a hospital, where the space and equipment are already prepared, a homebirth comes with its own practical considerations. What do you need to organise? How do you prepare your birth space? What will your midwife bring? When do you call them? And how can your birth partner feel confident supporting you throughout the experience?

That's exactly why we've created this workshop.

Join an experienced Homebirth Midwife and Birth Doula for a relaxed, practical and interactive evening dedicated entirely to preparing for birth at home.

Together, we'll explore everything from setting up your birth space and understanding your midwifery care to preparing your birth partner, creating your homebirth map and knowing what to expect once your baby arrives.

We'll also explore how to feel informed and supported if anything unexpected comes up along the way.

Because homebirth preparation is about so much more than having everything ready. It's about feeling ready, too.

Our hope is that you and your birth partner leave with a deeper understanding of what to expect, practical knowledge you can put into place at home, and the confidence that comes from feeling truly prepared and supported.
