Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist

Meet Sarah

I don't believe communication happens in isolation. It grows through connection, play, responsive relationships and everyday moments shared with the people who know a child best.

Hi, I'm Sarah, the Director and Speech Pathologist behind Golden Paediatric Therapy.

My passion for supporting children's communication began while working in early childhood education, where I saw first-hand the incredible learning that happens during the early years. I completed a Diploma in Early Childhood Education before going on to study a Bachelor of Speech Pathology, giving me a strong understanding of child development and the importance of nurturing communication from the very beginning.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of supporting children with a wide range of communication differences across homes, early learning settings, schools and the community. These experiences have shaped my relationship-based, child-led approach, where therapy is guided by each child's strengths, interests and individual way of communicating.

My role isn't simply to support communication during our therapy sessions. It's to understand each child's unique strengths, build trusting relationships, and work alongside families to create meaningful opportunities for communication in everyday life. I believe parents and caregivers know their child best, and I value partnering with families to develop practical strategies that feel natural, achievable and meaningful within their daily routines.

I have a particular passion for understanding the foundations of communication, including speech development, motor speech, early literacy and oral function. I enjoy continually expanding my knowledge to ensure the children and families I work with receive evidence-based, holistic support.

I am a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist and a proud member of Speech Pathology Australia. I am committed to ongoing professional development and have completed further training in:

  • More Than Words® (The Hanen Program®)

  • Key Word Sign

  • Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)

  • Childhood Apraxia of Speech Assessment and Treatment

  • Read3

  • Sounds-Write

  • Next Level Motor – Ongoing professional development membership focused on the assessment and treatment of motor speech disorders

Whether we're building early language through play, supporting speech development, or developing literacy skills, my goal is always to create engaging, meaningful experiences that help children connect with the people and world around them.

Outside of work, I'm a mum to two young boys, and you'll usually find us exploring playgrounds, reading stories, getting messy through play or spending time outdoors. Becoming a parent has given me an even greater appreciation for the joys, challenges and everyday moments that shape children's communication and development.

I look forward to meeting your family and supporting your child's communication journey.
