Learn From Three Experienced Practitioners
One of the things that makes our Birth Prep Workshop so special is the opportunity to learn from three experienced practitioners, each bringing their own knowledge and practical skills.
✓ Home & Hospital Birth Midwife — Understanding labour physiology, the stages of birth and how to navigate the birth process.
✓ Birth Doula — Practical labour support, comfort measures, positioning, breathwork and techniques to help your birth partner feel confident and involved.
✓ Pre & Postnatal MumSafe Personal Trainer — Pelvic and pelvic floor health, movement, stretching and preparing your body for pregnancy and birth.
Together, we'll help you understand the birth process and discover the tools that feel right for you.
What you’ll learn and areas we work through thoughout the day:
Part 1 - Understanding Labour
Understanding what is happening inside your body can make birth feel much less overwhelming.

Part 2 - Movement, Pelvic Health & Preparing Your Body for Birth
Your body is doing something incredible, and understanding how it works can make such a difference to how you prepare for birth.
In this practical, hands-on session, you'll discover how to work with your body during pregnancy and labour, building confidence in movement, positioning and preparing your pelvis for birth.
Here's what you'll learn:
✓ Understand your pelvis and the important role it plays during labour and birth.
✓ Discover how your pelvic floor works and why both strength and relaxation matter.
✓ Practise movements and stretches to help prepare your body for birth.
✓ Explore labour positions and movements that can encourage comfort, mobility and space for your baby to move through the pelvis.
✓ Learn how to use movement during labour to work with your contractions and support your baby's journey.
✓ Understand perineal massage and how it may help prepare the tissues for birth.
✓ Discover safe ways to stay active during pregnancy, including when to modify movements or seek additional support.
And the best part? You'll actually get up, move, stretch and practise these techniques so you can take them home and feel confident using them during pregnancy and birth.
Part 3 - Preparing Your Mind & Breathing Through Labour
Birth preparation isn't just about your body. Preparing your mind and learning how to work with your breath can be just as valuable.

This is where we bring everything together!
You'll move through our practical Birth Circuit, exploring and practising a range of tools and techniques that you and your birth partner can use during labour.
You'll get to try:
✓ Optimal Maternal Positioning — Explore positions and movements to support comfort, mobility and baby's positioning.
✓ Rebozo Techniques — Discover how these traditional woven cloths can be used for gentle movement, relaxation and comfort.
✓ TENS Machine — Learn how a TENS machine works, where to position the pads and how it may support pain relief during labour.
✓ Acupressure, Birth Combs & Massage Balls — Explore different tools and pressure points that may support comfort and relaxation.
✓ Birth Sling — Experience how a birth sling can support different labour positions, movement and rest.
You'll have the opportunity to practise these tools with your birth partner, ask questions and discover what feels good for your body.
Helping Birth Partners Feel Confident & Involved
One of the most important parts of our workshop is preparing your birth partner.
Because while you're doing the incredible work of birthing your baby, having someone beside you who understands how to support you can make such a difference.
Rather than wondering what to do when labour begins, your partner will have the opportunity to practise:
✓ Hands-on comfort measures and massage techniques.
✓ Labour positions and movements they can support you with.
✓ Using the TENS machine, rebozo, birth sling and other tools.
✓ Breathing and relaxation techniques.
✓ Ways to offer reassurance, encouragement and practical support throughout labour.
Our goal is for you both to leave feeling like a team, with a shared understanding of how you can work together during birth.

Every Birth Is Unique
Birth is not something we can completely predict or control.
Our intention isn't to teach you one particular way to birth, but to give you the knowledge, confidence and practical tools to navigate your own experience, however it unfolds.
Because feeling prepared doesn't mean knowing exactly what will happen. It means understanding your options, trusting your ability to respond and knowing you have support beside you.
