Baby Story, Sensory + Play Group at The Village Collective is a relaxed weekly gathering for mums and babies under 12 months, held every Monday afternoon in our calm, air-conditioned studio on the Central Coast.

What Is Baby Story, Sensory + Play Group?

Baby Story, Sensory + Play Group is a two-hour weekly session that brings a much-loved children's book to life through storytelling, themed sensory play, and open-ended exploration. Each week is guided by a different story — think The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Wombat Stew, or Dear Zoo — with sensory activities designed to match.

The session is facilitated by Hannah Adams, an Early Childhood Educator with over 10 years' experience, First Aid certified and holding a current Working With Children Check.

The first part of each session features a story read aloud, brought to life through a related sensory activity. Afterwards, babies are free to explore the space at their own pace while mums enjoy the chance to sit, chat, and connect over tea, coffee, and snacks.

Can my toddler come along too? At this stage, Baby Story, Sensory + Play Group is for babies under 12 months. We're looking forward to offering sibling-friendly activities in the future.
